Larry Smith
Founder, Executive Director
Larry is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Larry is from Chicago originally and has lived in La Porte for 8 years. As a young man, Larry played football, basketball, baseball and ran track in high school earning 7 varsity letters. He also played 4 years of college basketball at Gettysburg College. He has 3 daughters that live in the Chicago area and is active in the recovery community.

Katie Surma
Program Coordinator
Locations: La Porte, Starke, Pulaski, Marshall, Fulton, Miami Counties
Fitness is an important part of Katie’s life. Since beginning her journey she has lost over fifty pounds, learned how to keep a healthy balanced lifestyle, and educated herself on how to improve herself and others. Fitness inspires her to live her life fully, while helping others along the way.
Katie will always be a student of fitness and recovery. When training clients, she loves to combine fitness, a spirit of playfulness, and a dose of inspiration to help her clients achieve their goals. She seeks to help others thrive in fitness and life by training them in their desired platform. This includes strength, cardio and / or flexibility, making fitness fun. Katie’s hope is that her clients leave a session feeling refreshed, confident, and balanced!

My passion is to help others in recovery reach their full potential and learn how to live a life free of substance use.
I'm a person in long term recovery. I have been sober for over nine years. Because of this, I am very passionate about recovery and reaching others who are struggling with substance abuse disorder.

Angela Yovanovitch
Program Coordinator
Locations: Northern Kentucky/Metro Cincinnati area

I work full-time as an outreach worker for a non-profit that provides safe, supportive housing for those recovering from Substance Abuse Disorder
I have found success in including diet and fitness in my personal recovery plan, as a result, developed healthy relationships with others interested in fitness.
I believe in holistic recovery that includes the balance of the mind, body, spirit, and community. It is my purpose to share, guide, teach, and support those who desire a new way of life.
One word to describe my mission in doing this work: Connection
